Home moves

House removals in Bishop's Stortford.

From a first flat to a family home, we move houses across the whole of CM23 with genuine care — and we plan for the quirks of every local property before we arrive.

A house move is a big day, and the difference between a good one and a stressful one is almost always the people doing it. We keep the whole move with one friendly team — the crew that carefully wraps and loads your home is the crew that carries it into the new one, whether that's across town or across the country.

Bishop's Stortford has a real spread of homes, and each moves a little differently: the tight-hallway Victorian terraces near the centre, the family houses in Thorley, the new-build estates with their narrow roads and shared parking, and the cottages in the surrounding villages. We look at the access at both ends up front and bring the right kit for it.

Good to know

Questions.

Do you move to and from the new estates?
Yes, regularly — Bishop's Park and St Michael's Hurst especially. The newer developments have narrow estate roads and shared parking, and the apartment blocks need lift bookings; we plan for all of that before the day.
Can you handle a period property in the centre?
Yes — the Victorian terraces and older cottages are part of what makes the town lovely. Tight hallways, steep stairs and awkward parking are things we plan the load around rather than being caught out by.
Do you pack for me?
If you’d like — full or part packing, with all the materials brought to you. Or just the move if you’d rather pack yourself. Tell us what suits and we’ll quote for it.
